Slick Ego's Achieves its target at Buckmore Park

Buckmore Park 180 Endurance - Sat 15th Sep 07

Team = Slick Ego's

Members = Adam, Amanda, Franco, Kevin, Steve

Race Target = Top 10 (32 Enterances)

Having never been to the circuit before the whole team was really looking forward to getting to grips with the Buckmore Park Circuit. We entered 2 teams of which each team member would race in both karts. We managed to qualify 8th and 20th. With 20th being achieved in a very sub-standard kart! we had to start the race in the kart - do 1 lap and then come in and change in, however when we got into the pits the Marshalls where not ready to change the kart and we ended up losing so much time. Going a lap down on the leaders and becoming dead last. The new kart was an improvement but still sub-standard compared to the other team kart. However we
managed to finish the kart in 9th - still getting our target. Our other kart managed to improve on the grid slot from 8th to 4th position. And very completed very competitive lap times. This was an excellent team effort at a circuit that we had all not driven at before.

Well done Team Slick Ego's.

Respect to a Rally Legend

Saturday 15th September Colin McRae's helicopter crashed and came down in Jerviswood, Lanarkshire, half a mile from the family's home and burst into flames. On board was himself, his son and 2 other passenages. Best wishes goes to his wife and daughter who were not on-board the helicopter.

McRae became Britain's first World Rally champion in 1995. He was one of the country's most successful sportsmen, achieving 25 wins in World Rally events and 42 podium places. He was a flamboyant driver, inspiring one the world's best-selling computer rally games.
I have also spend many, many, many hours playing on his fantastic Playstation simulation games.
MASSIVE respect to a MASSIVE Rallying Legend.
“Rally GB is obviously very special to me,
and I am looking forward to giving
the fans something to cheer,” Colin McRae
That he always did.

Max Finds Cadwell Park

On 2nd September Max found itself at another of the UK's top racing circuits. I went to support a good friend race in a Mallock at Cadwell Circuit. Michelle Hayward (http://missilemich.co.uk/) however her website has not been updated recently. A very good female racer. Here are a few images.
